Minnie Wabanimkee (Odawa) is a freelance photojournalist. Born in northern Michigan, she has received numerous awards, including the Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for Excellence in Photojournalism. She has worked for the Associated Press, the Michigan State University Museum, the Nokomis Learning Center and several tribes within the state. Her most recent work is included in the Michigan State University Museum exhibit and publication “Anishnaabek: Artists of Little Traverse Bay.”
