William Fausett

William Dean Fausett, a native of Utah, attended the Art Students League in New York and studied Renaissance painting as a mural assistant in Europe. He received many mural commissions (including the Guggenheim Foundation Grant) for the decoration of post offices and such honored places as Grant’s Tomb in New York and the national Capitol in Washington, D.C. Throughout his career, Fausett concentrated on landscapes and scenes from American history.
