Stacy Levy is an artist who investigates water, clarifying the movement of rain and storm water in the landscape, and making visible the patterns of watersheds and flowing water. Projects include Tide Flowers, a tidal piece on the Hudson River in New York, Hillsborough Meander, a wind piece for University of South Florida in Tampa, and Lotic Meander, a stream terrace at the Ontario Science Centre in Toronto. She co-created the National Demonstration Project for Acid Mine Drainage and Art, a project with Julie Bargmann, T. Allan Comp & Bob Deason. Her work has been exhibited at Documenta 11 in Germany, Mass MoCA, Wave Hill and The Hudson River Museum, both in New York City, and The Institute for Contemporary Art in Philadelphia. Recent articles on Ms. Levy have appeared in Sculpture Magazine, and Landscape Architecture Magazine. Stacy Levy graduated from Yale University in 1984 with a BA in sculpture and she received her MFA in 1991 from the Tyler School of Art. She is represented by Larry Becker Contemporary Art in Philadelphia, PA.
