Sherman Raveson

During his long career in the arts Sherman Raveson was a painter, stage designer for Broadway productions, author, art editor and art director for many leading publications including “Vanity Fair” and “Life”. He attended Cumberland University in Tennessee and the Art Student’s League in New York. Raveson’s paintings were exhibited at National Advertising Awards, Chicago Galleries Association, Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, National Academy of Design, American Watercolor Society and the 1939 New York World’s Fair. He is particularly known today for his equestrian subjects.
