Lynne Friedman’s paintings eloquently express the poetic grandeur of nature. Love for the color, light and sculptural quality of land emanates from the surface.. A landscape, Fauve-influenced oil painter steeped in her subject matter, Friedman works en plein air as well as back in her studio where ideas are developed and refined. On location sites include the Colorado Rockies, Tuscany, the South of France and Spain, New Mexico, and the Hudson Valley where she has her studio. She has been the recipient of seven artist residency grants.

Friedman’s landscapes are in many public and private collections including McGraw Hill, IBM, Pace University and Pfizer Corporation. She has had solo exhibits at the Booth Western Art Museum in Georgia and the James McNeil Whistler Museum in Massachusetts. She is currently showing with Prince Street Gallery in New York City’s Chelsea district. Overseas, her work has been shown through Art in Embassies, U.S. Department of State.
