Larry Ferguson was born in Maxwell, Nebraska in 1954. He did his undergraduate work at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, and later attended the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, New York. He is currently on the faculty of the University of Nebraska, Omaha, and Bellevue University in Bellevue, Nebraska. He has exhibited extensively since the 1970s and his work has appeared in many publications. He has received a number of fellowships and served as artist in residence at several institutions. Ferguson maintains a professional studio in Omaha.
