Keith Oehmig began dealing in American and European art at the age of twenty-one. He established the Wiscasset Bay Gallery in 1985, combining his love of painting with dealing in fine art. A native of Chattanooga, Tennessee, Oehmig moved to his adopted state of Maine while a freshman at Principia College, St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated in 1984 with a degree in art history and studio art. Oehmig has painted professionally for over twenty years, and his works are represented in private, corporate and museum collections across the United States and Europe. He hopes his combined career as artist/art dealer has given him deeper insight into each field, and he loves to share his passion for art with the gallery’s many visitors and collectors.
