John Michael Thomas Seitzer

John Michael Thomas Seitzer is an award winning artist and art educator.
He continually stretches his artistic vocabulary with skillfully rendered paintings
in an eclectic range of styles, spanning from realism to post-impressionism
to abstraction. His work often reflects his love for nature and the play of
light. He holds a double art major – a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting
and ceramics, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in art education from
Minnesota State University at Mankato. As an educator, Seitzer has worked
with elementary through university level students, received several artist
residencies, and lectured in England.

Seitzer’s work has garnered local, state, and regional awards, and he is
currently represented in galleries from coast to coast in Los Angeles, California,
and Scottsdale, Arizona, as well as in Camden and Boothbay Harbor, both in
Maine. His art is included in many corporate and private collections around the
world. Together with his wife Lynne Seitzer, who is also an artist, he paints and
teaches at home in Boothbay Harbor. They travel and paint in the Southwest
during the winter months.
