Herb Seymour

Herbert Seymour first took an art class in 1990. Since that time, he has pursued his passion with the same dedication that made him successful in building a large manufacturing business from which he retired in 1999. In addition to private studies with several respected artists, Seymour also studied at the California Art Institute and has taken workshops in Europe and throughout the western United States. Painting en plein air as well as in his studio, his subjects range from the coast of Cornwall, to the coast of California. He has studios in Los Angeles and Basalt, Colorado, where he paints during the summer. His works are in collections throughout the United States and Canada. He has won numerous art competitions and his paintings have been juried into the “Top 200 at the 1994 and 1999 Arts for the Parks,” Carnegie Art Museum, California Art Club Gold Medal Juried Exhibitions and the Frederick R. Weisman Museum of Art others.

Herb Seymour is an Artist Member of the California Art Club.
