Henry Joseph

Henry Joseph’s work encompasses American landscape, portraiture, theatre work and event photography. It’s my intention to make the work subjective and interpretative. Occasionally my images have a visual subtext paired with a point of view not always apparent; though relevant to the subject and focus of interest.

Work for exhibition and publication include book jackets published for Tor Books and Forge Books, St.Martin’s Press, Smithsonian Air and Space Magazine, P and C Magazine of the Izarra Publishing Group, the Village Voice, The Villager, Time Out New Yor the New York Post, the New York Daily News, Fuji Film, Olympus Camera and takegreatpictures.com.

Galleries that displayed my work are, Synchronicity Space, NYC, Autoren Galerie, Munich Germany, Leica Gallery, NYC, Salon Ceil, NYC, RangeWest Gallery of Madrid, New Mexico and Grant Gallery of Denver, Colorado.

Mr. Joseph studied photographic craft with Douglas Dubler, Jay Maisel, James Woods, Sam Abell, Eddie Soloway and Arnold Eagle. He also studied with Bill Klein at the Parsons School of Design and was an intern at the Santa Fe Photographic Workshop.
