Hakim Raquib

Hakim Raquib is a visual artist, active in Boston, who has photographed a spectrum ranging from individuals to the architectural ruins around the world, using the medium for personal expression. He attended Fisk University in Nashville Tennessee and studied photography at the Roxbury School of Photography Roxbury Ma. He received a fellowship from the Mellon Foundation to complete his studies at Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge Ma. His work has been exhibited worldwide: United States, Europe, Africa, and Asia. Hakim’s work is in both private and public collections. Polaroid Foundation, International center for Photography New York, Photographic Resource Center at Boston University, Museum for the center of African American Artists in Roxbury Ma, De Cordova Museum, Lexington Ma, to name a few. Hakim is a resident artist at Northeastern University “African American Master Artist in Residence program”.
