Eileen Neff

Born in 1945, Eileen Neff received a B.F.A. from Philadelphia College of Art (now University of the Arts) and a M.F. A. from Tyler School of Art. Organized by the Institute of Contemporary Art, Philadelphia, Neff’s exhibition, Between Us, (2007) travelled to the Royal Hibernian Academy, Dublin, Ireland (2009), and the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro, N.C. (2009). Her work has also been exhibited at P.S. 1, Long Island City, NY, Carnegie Mellon Art Gallery, PA, Artist Space, NY, and Locks Gallery, Philadelphia among other venues.

The recipient of two Fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts (1988, 1990), a Pew Fellowship in the Arts (1993-1994), and three fellowships from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts (2005, 1990,1989), her numerous other awards include residencies at the Fabric Workshop and Museum, Philadelphia, The MacDowell Colony, and La Napoule Art Foundation, France. Neff is currently an adjunct professor in the M.F.A. program at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, a Graduate Seminar instructor at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and a Senior Critic in the Graduate Fine Arts Program at the University of Pennsylvania. Her work is represented by Locks Gallery, Philadelphia.
