Suzanne McClelland received a BFA from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and an MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her recent solo exhibitions include the Sue Scott Gallery in NYC, David Krut Projects in NYC, Shane Campbell Gallery in Chicago, KS Art in NYC, Paul Kasmin Gallery in NYC, the Orlando Museum of Art and Galerie Lutz and Thalmann in Zurich. Her work has been written about in Time Out New York, The New York Times, Art in America, Art on Paper, Artforum, Los Angeles Times, The New Art Examiner, and “Vitamin P: New Perspectives in Painting.” She has received a Pollock-Krasner Grant, a Nancy Graves Grant for Visual Arts, and an AXA Artist Award. Her work is in the public collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Museum of Modern Art, the Norton Simon Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Orlando Museum, the New York Public Library, and the Walker Art Center, among many others.
